I honestly didn't expect them to kill THAT fucking hard, but they really, really did. Scott Thompson was especially murderous, but when it was both him and Kevin McDonald on stage at the same time, that was so god damn great. We hung out after the show (we always do when our friend's working cuz she lets us and often gets us free drinks) and they were both kickin it too and we ended up chattin with them for like 45 minutes. Scott was talking a good deal about his run with cancer, so some serious talk was had, but it wasn't anything uncomfortable or where I was just like "Ok dude, too much information, make with some more yuk yuk" or anything like that. It was actually pretty informative and inspiring and entertaining in its own right. But he was of course also still makin with the funny too. And he (I say "he" cuz compared to Scott, Kevin was mostly in the green room after the show) looked and sounded like he was genuinely both surprised and happy when I mentioned how awesome Death Comes to Town was, just as much for the fact that I knew it existed. He said even with Kids in the Hall "fans" not many people knew they did that, which is nuts to me cuz if you're a fan you should have been creaming over that show with every single episode.

This was the first time where I was chattin with performers after a show, comedy or otherwise, where I found out I wanted to talk to them out of genuine interest and not just being a fan and giving my thanks for a fun time. They were really cool dudes and we even did that hokey superfan stuff besides the extended chat session like get pictures and autographs. I wasn't expecting or wanting to do any of that, even with the show being as awesome as it was, but they kind of made it happen more than we did and it then just became something we were all doing and enjoying. Scott almost came out with us to the bars afterwards too but he asked where a good place to go in Sacramento was and we didn't have a good answer lol then Kevin kind of talked him out of it lol.

I'd probably go to a lot of stand up comedy shows in town if I knew someone that would get me free drinks and let me meet the performers afterwards

I dunno, the dude on the left looks more akin to the pic of him I saw earlier. Dude was bald with glasses, IIRC.
