That's actually pretty funny enough. I loved how that movie really fumbled explaining that, because I seemed to be the only guy in the theater who figured out that the guy who cut his arms everytime he cursed was trying to kill himself so he couldn't hurt others......and even then I just took a lucky guess. At that point, though, most people weren't paying attention and were just waiting for the FPS scene.

I don't see how that was hard to understand.

I understood why he killed himself when I first saw the movie. I saw the unrated version first though. I don't know if it was any different in the theatrical version.

I don't remember a thing from that movie because it was lousy.

Although I recall a big black dude swinging a computer monitor by the cord, and I thought that was pretty cool. And the first-person rail-shooter sequence.

ha I've never seen it.

We were just looking at the tv guide channel, and one of my guy friends pointed out that it was on.

I think I should see Doom again sometime. Since seeing it, I've gone and seen a bunch of respected action movies such as Aliens, Die Hard, and the Rambo movies, so now I can see if it holds up compared to those or not.

The movie was hard to really pay attention to be everyone really got bored quickly and the theater (this was the day it came out) was filled with really only wrestling fans, computer gaming geeks and girls who though the Rock would be shirtless (and by filled I mean is the entire audience which barely filled 33.33% of the auditorium).

It soon just became a big dark room filled with side-conversations with people watching from time to time, and yet that even with the collective discussion with the other people only I got that he was killing himself to not kill others, as numerous people filled in parts of the movie for others and vice versa. It basically became a Torrent-like viewing experience with a community of friendly seeds and leeches.
