Going to the Zoo

Some friends I are heading to the Memphis Zoo tomorrow. They want to leave by 9 AM which is ridiculous. That's the earliest i've had to be up in months. (Yeah my class schedule is awesome)

I haven't been to a zoo in years. Since I was like eight I think. Any good attractions at the Memphis zoo?

Yeah, a fun day out with friends should never actually start at 9.

I'm not much of a zoo person though. When I was a kid I went to the San Diego, San Francisco zoo among others. I'm more about the aquariums than monkeys and pandas and shit. Bring on sharks and stingrays and octopus and crazy ass sea sponges and shit. Lookin at penguins and ostriches is for the birds.

um. animals? lol... i know at one point they had a panda exhibit that was a big deal, but i haven't heard anything about their exhibits in a while.

i haven't been to the zoo in years either. i went to the georgia aquarium this summer and it was kind of a disappointment--a $30 ticket that didn't seem worth while to me.

Zoo and aquarium ticket prices are pretty steep these days. I know our major zoo in Sydney is over $100 for a family of four.

Damn? For real? I used to go to that shit for free all the time, and we supposedly have world famous ones n shizzle.

the zoo ticket is going to be $15/person. that's not TOO bad.

so one of my friend's dad has been checking the weather and claims it's going to be raining and 20 mph winds. so his son doesn't think we should go.

i look at weather.com... it says after 10 AM, there is a ten or zero % chance of precipitation and winds from 4-14 mph.

i want to know where they are getting their weather info!!!

and I'm sure we'd all rather go to the san diego zoo than the memphis zoo. =(

Eh, I maintain that the weather would have been fine, but we didn't end up going. We went shopping in Southaven (which is very close to Memphis--and the weather WAS fine). I got a quilt and sheets for the full bed I'm getting tomorrow. I also got Red Lobster for free for supper. Good day!

Tomorrow (really today) we're going to go to the zoo. I talked them into a 10:15 leave time!

I went and played basketball yesterday, which got me stoked to play again today. It rained today though, but I still played ball again and then also played a round of disc golf. The courts were wet and had some larger puddles, and when we were on the 12th hole for disc golf it started to rain, but I played ball/golf through it ALL. Fuck whatever somebody's DAD might say, or whatever might ACTUALLY BE HAPPENING lol.

It's supposed to rain all week including through the weekend. I work through to Friday but have the weekend off. I got my fun in this weekend (despite having to work) so I'll probably be packing this coming weekend.

The zoo was fun, but I'm worn out! There was a lot of walking!!!!

I really loved seeing all the big cats and bears. They were my favorites.

I actually get to sleep late because I don't have classes on Tuesday, aside from choir at 5. =)

At a glimpse, I thought the thread title said, "Going to Pee."

Impressive but #2 is definitely the one to see. I've seen a gorilla and a zebra shit, giraffes fucking and a rhino with a large penis.

oh, the elephant pooped, too. It was a massive, crumbly dump.
