So for my story: I was taking a bathroom break right? Well just before I go to flush (haha sorry for the details), I spot a brown recluse on the floor coming at me. I jump back on the toilet and leave my shorts where they lay and call for my grandmother to bring a shoe because I didn't have anything to kill it with. So she comes walking in with a fly-swatter when it starts toward her. I grab the fly-swatter from her and save the day. The end.

You take your pants/shorts off to use the bathroom?

Well I pull them down... I'm not a guy, so I can't just pull my clitoris out and just do it.

But what I meant was my feet just slipped out of them when I jumped back.

Mmhmmm.

Yessir. It was pretty scary.... I could have been bitten. And furthermore, I could have died. You should be consoling me now. Yes yes.

Not really. And a brown recluse just causes some of your meat to rot. As far as I know... they don't really kill you from a random bite.

The bite can kill you if it gets infected. And the infection gets into your blood stream. Yep yep.


Something else that could have happened: I could have fallen through the toilet seat and been stuck there for hours... My grandmother would probably have to call the fire dept and everything. (Yes, I overdramatize things sometimes...)

Necrosis is bad, that shit can fuck you up pretty good. However, very very very few bites from the brown recluse develop necrosis.

well, i guess that's relatively comforting, but i hate spiders and will continue to try to keep my distance! eesh!

I'd like to stay away from that, as well
