I watched Robocop 2 again like a week ago. I still enjoyed it. Then I tried watching Robocop 3. I didn't make it 15 minutes.

They were VHS copies. I've had them since I was little. It was sad the way they tried to fit that thing into Robocop 3. It just didn't work. Robocop 3 just didn't work period.

The first one is great but I've always enjoyed the second one more ever since I was a kid. And I didn't know, until recently, that it was directed by Irvin Kershner. And I love Empire Strikes Back, too. Love

The Empire Strikes Back rules, but RoboCop 2 is nowhere near that level of greatness.

I dunno, while I like RoboCop 2, it kinda rubs me the wrong way. It kinda tries to go for the same satire and punkish sort of attitude as the first film, but it just isn't done right. I suspect that Frank Miller's original script would've fallen much more in line with the first film, and been a thousand million times more awesome than what eventually was made. Plus, there's just tons of retarded-ass bullshit in the second film, like that dumb kid who gets shot and how RoboCop and the audience are supposed to care, etc. Shit bores the piss out of me; first film's way more streamlined and badass.
