It was an ambiguous statement.

You could have meant you downloaded the adblocker so you don't see ads... and hadn't used it yet just describing the functionality of the program.

What you should have said is I downloaded the adblocker y'all mentioned AND I don't see ads anymore.

I was looking for Honda wiper blades earlier (I have super shitty specialty ones not avail at Walmartz).

The ad... one line is Chevy Cruze, another line Toyota carolla, a third wiper blades.
Not exactly fail proof. Civic does not equal Cruze. Shame On You
