Does anyone pay attention to the announcement threads?

I've read them. The latest one doesn't apply to me so thats why i didn't reply to it.

Yeah, a moderator always has to be watching over the board so they should be extremely active. If they have a reason then maybe they shouldn't be punished like if there was a death in the family and they had to travel to the funeral and such.

But if said user has logged on within the past week but not posted once... It's fair game, right?

Unless said person has a serious and legit reason for not interacting on the board but rules are rules.

Shea has a pass for a while.

Once everyone knows about the new rule for the moderators then excuses shouldn't be easily taken. It's only fair when we all know the rule.

Well... Shea really does have an excuse and I'm not going to be mad at her if she doesn't have time to post. She's got other things going on.

This is just an issue we've had with all 3 moderators. The first moderator never posted after getting the position, Shea was active but has reasons not to be, and the other moderator has logged on everyday and not posted while ignoring us when we try to talk to her... And this will set up the rule for anyone else we promote from now on. It's not really to call anyone out... it's just that this is a recurring problem and we've got to stop it one way or the other.

It's reasonable. If they log on constantly and not post whilst holding a high position they should be punished for it. If your going to take the time to log on you my aswell post something even if its not that important.

That's the way I see it.

Something else I've been considering since we're discussing stuff... July 6th will be the boards' 2 month anniversary. I know that's not a big one but I was thinking about doing something big. It took 1 month to get 2,000 posts on the board... And within this month we've gotten over 5,000. So that was a pretty big step for the boards. I'm thinking maybe opening a spam board for the day so if users want to boost their post count, they can. Would you be interested? Or is there anything else you'd like to see?

Thats a hell of alot of posts for two months, i thought this board was around longer then just two months

A spam board for the day would be amusing. Allowing us to post a major load of junk should result in a fair bit of laughs.

I can't think of anything else to add to this forum at the moment but i'm sure i'll have some new ideas over the course of time.

Yeah... We've only been open for less than two months. I think we've done fairly well considering we started with no user base. A lot of new boards have members coming over from a different one. We started completely from scratch. I'd say it's doing pretty well under those circumstances.

What is this new stuff?

my mom's sister is being a bitch about money that was my grandmother's. my grandmother has alzheimer's, so it had to be put into an account w/ mom's and my aunt's names.... since mom died, all of that money goes to my aunt.
legally she has every right to keep it, and we'll most likely lose, but it's about proving a point now. if the money were still in my grandmother's name, we'd get mom's half no problem...
