Assessment Task Joy

School holidays begin and i have 3 assessment tasks plus other work to complete over my two week break.

So far my biology task has been completed. I'll start my English one after i finish copying some notes out for a friend who hasn't been at school for awhile. I dread doing my maths assessment but i'm sure i can complete it if i sit down for a day with my text book and apply my mind fully to it.

I'm going to need it. I'm impressed that i'm actually doing my assessment tasks now. I usually wait until the night before they're due before i start to do them.

of course, that night i hate myself and swear i'm going to quit procrastinating.

I had a whole booklet to do so i'll post the ones that i was iffy about since we haven't been taught some of it yet.

It is known that y varies directly with the square root of x. If y=88 when x=4, write an equation connecting y with x?
My answer for that is Y= X squared times 5.5

It is known that Y varies inversely with X. When m=0.5, n=2, write an equation connecting m and n
my answer: n=m to the power of 4

Those two were the only two i'm pretty lost with. The rest of the book was pretty much graphs and such like stem and leaf plots which wasn't hard to do at all.

I don't know why we even got asked those questions since we haven't done that in class. Lucky i still have my text book from last year that i'm yet to return so i went through it and found the examples on it.
