i haven't done much, but i think i could....

the only jobs i know of right off are teacher and engineer.

engineer is physics, not math

damnit. my classes start one week from today. this blows.

yeah... elementary/jr high/highschools have already started back (last week-ish). my classes begin august 18.

last fall my first day was aug. 20.

what the hell? you guys dont' get august off? You end in June then?

actually my last day for spring semester was may 2...

lol oh man, you guys have it bad. We start in september and end in march (for university, high school ends in june)

damn. how long off for a winter/christmas break?

2 weeks. But it works like this, we have class from september to November, then exams for all of December. So really, you have all of december off (aside from your exam days). Then January to March, and exams in april (so basically all of april off)

okay, so. we go from mid-august through november with exams the first week of december.
we start back the second week of january and go through april with exams the first week of may.

i've got to get out of this place. seriously.

yeah it's the only good part about uni. It does suck though when your exam is like on the last possible day, so you know you're not relaly off (this doesn't stop me from living like I'm off :p)

oh gosh. last semester, i sent my mom an email the last day of classes before finals... i remember saying "to me, the semester is over. they're not getting much out of me anymore." luckily both semesters i've managed schedules where i finish finals on about the third day (the finals are spread over 5 days).

I think so, I wouldn't have you quote me on it though. I think all the major ones in BC run that way.

my reasons for getting away from here just keep multiplying. it's insanity. you said you don't like your uni--is it uni in general or just the one you attend?

In general, I've only been to one but I can imagine it's the same old shitshow here as it is everywhere else. I think I'm just taking a real hatred to public education.

it happens. i'm getting rather close, myself. i just need to win the lottery and do volunteer work my whole life. that's what i'd like to do.
