Shit slow

Yeah shit is slow of late. We all need to try and keep this place afloat if we want it to carry on and expand. My presence on the boards will pick up shortly. I'm semi trying for the trial HSC exams. I can't really be bothered to care about a trial but i'm giving them a half arse go so my teachers can't bitch saying that i didn't try. More than likely i will place in the top 3 spots for most of my classes anyway.

people just aren't on when i'm on most of the time, so i just do something else.

i'm back at school, so my hours will have to change. the times that used to be most busy won't really work for me anymore. 'tis sad. i hate school. seriously.

I come by every day.

I still come by everyday, maybe not for long. But at least to check up. I can't stay up all night posting, I start lovely classes tomorrow. So my hours will be cut also. But I'll still will be around.

I have dail up and can't get on the computer until about 10o'clock every night. And only for an hour. I'll be starting school this week also. Thankfully I'll only have 4 classes and only one class a day.

I've been getting shit ready for college. Once it all starts I'll probably be on more.

i'm just hoping the activity won't all be after i have to force myself to get ready for bed!!

Agreed, I have to stop staying up so late. Damn Tylenol pm doesn't seem to be helping me at all.

I don't understand why anyone prepares for college. I doubt I even buy half my textbooks this year.

my preparation for college consists of getting all my crap back to my apartment. i never buy books until i've been to every class once. but like woah. my text books were $570. GEEZ!!!!!!

Depends on the class, some classes I never touch the book because the teacher teaches straight out, other times you're required to read for credit.

I'm not required to read dick all because I'm in all math classes. I basically buy the book if I want to practice the shit we're learning. I'll just steal them.

I'll just get used books. If I was still back home I'd use Lox's old books.

I'm having to start a week late...Atleast I only have one class a day...and each day is a different class. So yea...I just missed 4 classes...grr. Good thing I live on a farm now. I'll have nothing to do but study.

my astronomy class last year, you HAD to read the text book. the lectures were completely different info, and the tests were pretty difficult. only hard class i've ever taken.

used books are still REALLY expensive... here, at least. first day of classes are bullshit anyway.

i really enjoyed it, actually. i had the most interesting, funny, sarcastic teacher who liked hearing/sharing ideas and beliefs, etc... it wasn't learning constellations or finding them in the sky or anything like that. i learned a lot (that i don't necessarily remember)

It ciould just be poorly taught here (or a different course altogether). That said, I'm still not taking it lol

haha my friend took it at a different university in MS, and she said hers was pretty lame--more about stars and learning constellations. they had "lab" one night a week outside...

i enjoyed learning about how the early discoveries were made--before they the things we do to measure big distances, how they came up with formulas, etc. fun stuff.

i didn't have to take it, but i did. i've taken several courses and later found out they were useless to me, even if i enjoyed them. my advisor last year was horrible. i don't even have my new one yet.

Or you could find a "partner" in the class and "share" a book to "practice" with.
