I can agree with that---it just doesn't happen much... So if horrible parents are allowed to ruin children; why not give gay people a chance, too?

I wasn't really right in my saying "most people aren't fit."

I'd say maybe about half? There are awesome parents ALL OVER the place. Not surprisingly, the majority of those awesome parents I know are regular church-going Christians.

The majority of them that I know aren't. They may have some "Christian" beliefs about them, but I'd hardly call them regular church-going Christians.

Honestly, most of the regular church attending people I know are complete fucking douchebags and hypocrites.

Of course, I don't mean that to be an attack on Christianity. I just think the bad "Christians" outnumber the real, genuine ones.

Of all of my friends, one has genuinely good parents with whom she has a great relationship. My mom was a saint, and I am thankful I had her as an influence in my life, but from my experiences, people are much worse than they seem.

I actually liked Palin because she, unlike McCain, strove to usher in a more true conservative presidency. McCain's centerist position can suck a fat dick--crossing the aisle never did squat.
