if I've learned anything from my parents in my life, it's how to drink even if I'm dead.

well, i think i'm impressed.

i'm surprised i drink, having grown up with my father.

my whole family on both sides all hit the bottle hard at one point in time or another. I probably shouldn't drink, but there's no fun in that.

i think one reason i'm okay is that my mom had really good self-control and wasn't constantly drunk. i had a good example and a horrible example, in every respect.

in the past month or so, i've let go and started to have fun. it's nice.

I had a bunch of horrible examples. Though it's not like they got drunk and beat me or anything, they were always just pissed. Though I don't remember my mom drinking that much until my uncle died 7 years ago. Since then she's gone hard.

well, tommy didn't actually beat us--though i wished he would. he just bullied us and controlled us.

that's pretty sad about your mom and uncle. though, if i lost my brother any time soon, i'd likely hit the bottle and a whole lot of other stuff, too

if anything traumatic happened to me I wouldn't touch anything. That's how substance abuse starts.
