The drawings and animation of that show look so damn gay. Probably why I don't care to ever watch it.

Avatar is easily best thing animation related to come out in the last 7-8 years. Easily beats out such overrated stuff like Death Note, Naruto, and anything you can think of!


You have to watch to get it's awesomeness, and if Kurt wasn't so lazy he'd have my back right now!

But no, he has to be all "Ranma 1/2" and watching a guy become a girl and back.

I just find it funny that supposedly Gayvatard was heavily influenced by Shinichiro Watanabe's works, like Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo, but it looks and animates nothing like either shows. Now those are some fine looking cartoons.

There's nothing wrong with the animation. It's not meant to be dark in imagery like Cowboy Bebop (and Samurai Shamploo is boogus and blows....ok, it's below mediocre). It is a show that is designed to cater to a younger demographic but it's storytelling is great and many things from the show make it enjoyable for higher demographics. It's a show you wont be embarrassed watching alone, but you'll want to watch it with the family. The fighting done in the show I'd easily put above either show you mentioned, and the story (while generally rather simple for the younger audience to follow) is much better told within the Avatar Universe.

Plus I prefer it's, it does a ton of homages to anime's and manga's but at the same time does enough to avoid using so many of them that they become a comedic crutch, like Naru Punches or Bulma's top coming down. Plus facial features and expressions are great and the show avoids trying to do the classic goofy anime faces, only using them when it's appropriate.

While I've never seen an episode of Gayvatard, there's no possible way it could have fight scenes better than Bebop's, especially not the one in the first episode. U R GHEY

And calling Champloo below mediocre renders your opinions entirely useless and unreliable. Watanabe is in a league all his own as far as TV anime is concerned, and he co-directed the greatest anime of all time, Macross Plus (the 4-part OVA). Just admit that you floss with man-pubes, brush with penis, and rinse with semen. :o

Champloo is easily overrated, and it got boring in mere seconds. Nothing there is new, Fuu becomes a comedic crutch, and the animation is far from as interesting.

In fact, the only thing that should be remembered for that show (outside of the fact that the main guy is basically a break-dancing spike) is that it starts off with a few episodes that matter to the story, then practically becomes an endless sea of "vacation" episodes or one/two take stories that mean nothing until the last couple of episodes, where the animation crew lost it's money and went into a really shitty cell-shading. In fact, thanks for mentioning Watanabe, since that just proves to me that you're over-rating it because of the other work directed by the guy. I'm very damn well sure you don't know of Mike or Bryan, but they damn well made a better show! o:



You haven't seen the stuff Avatar does, yet I've seen a lot of Bebop, so you've lost the fight. I wont say bebop's fighting sucks (far from it), but what avatar does with actively adding realism (or true chinese/japanese techniques) to the whole fantasy aspect works wonders. No other show you'll see actually have characters follow a style so close to real/true martial arts that are studied as Avatar does.



Just admit that you put toothpaste in a fleshlight, fuck it until you cum, then clean it out with a toothbrush, brush your teeth with it, and then make out with a dog!
