So that new Burzum album coming out in May has those special editions and whatnot. I pre-ordered the Belus white vinyl double LP that was limited to 2,000 copies, and when it was released you immediately saw copies on eBay going for up to $200, but averaging somewhere around $100 at least for the first month or so. Lately they only go for about $50-60 (I guess most the diehards with cash to spare but who were late to the party have all come and gone, if you know what I mean).

Since I'm so much in the gutter when it comes to the cash situation, I'm considering investing in maybe half a dozen copies or so of the red version (limited to 1,000 copies) to sell for hopefully a profit. I'm wondering if there will be enough of those latecomer diehards again that it won't be a gamble at only breaking even or worse. The fact that it's more limited, but also one special edition out of two available, makes me unsure. That plus it's such a huge initial investment: £25 each plus shipping, it works out to be almost 45 USD for each copy. If they somehow work out to maybe only sell for what the Belus copies are going for currently, that's a very small profit margin; almost non-existent after eBay/PayPal fees. Plus it's not even gonna be released until March and has to come from overseas.
