the games just aren't my thing I guess. I've never ever seen the appeal of just about any Nintendo first party game. Super Smash is only fun with friends. It is the only fighting game I really enjoy. Metroid was never my thing. I never really found the 3D zelda games to be worth jizzing over. Mario seems cool on the PC due to the capability of user created maps. Nintendo just doesn't make anything geared towards me except maybe Fire Emblem. Even then there are Fire Emblem styled SRPGs that I enjoy more such as Yggdra Union.

I on the other hand have jizzed over Ocarina of Time multiple times.

Like, no joke, I literally jizzed (accidentally) on the player's guide when I was 12 and whacking it to Saria.

I'm ashamed to admit that but no secrets held from you, my shniggies.

Well like you mentioned. It doesn't have the L and R 2 buttons. The Vita is not as powerful as a PS4 so I don't see how you will be able to play PS4 games on it. They make it sound like because it's on a cloud the specs of the system don't matter.

Anyway, it's cute the way Sony half-assedly copies Nintendo's ideas. They really had something going with the PS1 and 2 but turned into a bunch of turdmunchers.

I'm probably not going to get a new generation console. My PC is pretty damn good still, so will stick with that.

That reminds me that I've yet to play Earthworm Jim. I think I bought the first two games on GOG a year ago though, so I should check them out sometime.

They're both amazing games. Really innovative platformers.

What versions does GOG have? If it's the "HD update" of EWJ1, it's a piece of shit. If it's the original PC versions, I heard those are supposed to be good. But for me, I'm aaaaall Super Nintendo. (Well, and the Genesis one of the first, too.)

I think GOG has the originals. Which is good, since I've heard there's an exclusive level in the PC/Sega CD version of the first game.

Yeah, it does.

The CD versions are nifty, but I don't like the higher quality tunes; they sound better as chiptunes.

I like the HD update.

I think it's super lame because the animations are all crippled. It no longer has that Ren & Stimpy movement, instead it's all choppy.

And just to be sure nostalgia and poor memory weren't tripping me up, I immediately popped in the SNES version and sure enough, the animations are very fluid there. I also like the sprites and backgrounds better on the old versions; the smoothed over HD version looks very cheap by comparison.

And, you know, Gameloft. They can't program for shit so the game actually plays slower. I also hate the new voices; TenNapel did the Jim sounds in the old games, and I'm 100% certain he didn't "reprise" his role since he hates the game and thinks anybody who ever liked it is an undiscerning schlub.
