So... wii sports is kind of entertaining. I'm about to try out No More Heroes.

Boxing sucks, it tires you out.

I haven't played Wii Sports in forever. It's novel at first, but it really doesn't have much depth to it. I'd only ever replay it if I were really bored, or if I had friends/family over right then who wanted to play it. I'm looking forward to Wii Sports Resort, however.

Zach, how do you feel about No More Heroes so far?

Does anyone else have hit detection problems with Boxing? Sometimes my character leans or punches completely off. My favorite of Wii Sports is bowling. I'm a little sore from that, actually. Throwing hard to get strikes. Blah. On Wii Fitness I got a fitness age of 63 last night after a night of playing and like 5-6 beers. Earlier today I got 27.

I'm a little disappointed in No More Heroes. It's fun, but it's not what I was expecting. I thought it was more like GTA because I've seen that it was a sandbox game and that you could do whatever you wanted... but you can't really. You're limited to what you can do. You can do the crappy side jobs or take assasin jobs. That's about it. Bleh. I take one ranking job at a time. I'm up to 7th rank at the moment. Interesting that they used lightsaber sounds for the light sword or whatever they call it. Someone came over during the first segment of the game... and they were talking during the cut scene which was annoying. It's a cut scene. if I didn't skip it, I wanted to hear and know what was going on. For fuck sake. Kind of similar to how the ending of Final Fantasy X was ruined for me. Anyway... it is fun and the fighting is entertaining. I was just expecting something else.

My brother is buying Punch Out this Friday. So I'm looking forward to that. My next purchase will be Metroid Prime: Corruption and Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings.

my punches seemed off some of the time when i did boxing, too.

my wii fit age was like 24, i think... and then my 2 fit friends did theirs and got 30-something.... so i don't think it means too much.

Maybe it was because I was drunk, but the 8th rank was the hardest assassin I've fought yet on No More Heroes. That girl killed me a few times. 7th rank was a breeze.

Sorry to hear that No More Heroes wasn't what you were expecting It really isn't anything like GTA at all. It's more like an action/adventure game that uses an overworld in place of a level-select menu.

It's still a good game and I'm looking forward to seeing it the whole way through.

That's cool I started to like No More Heroes more and more as I played on through the game.

Second exam is tomorrow. Don't know how well I'll do. I need to get at least 20/50 on this exam to pass the unit.

That asshole who shot lasers out of his crotch was entertaining. I really hate the jobs where you have to kill everyone without taking a single hit, though. How in the hell are you supposed to do that? I made it to the very last person on the high school one, but the asshole hit me somehow.

30 questions are multiple choice so if I get 20 of them right I get my pass for the unit. The last 4 questions are worth 5 marks each.

Zach, agreed on both counts. Destroyman is fucking awesome, and those jobs are a pain in the ass. I've swore many a time upon dying in those; whether it's at the very beginning or at the very end. They're possible to do if you know what you're doing, but even then it takes a little bit of luck. There are some even where guys with guns will fire at you, and that combined with dying in one hit makes things really frustrating.

Josh, alright then. 20/50 questions doesn't sound too hard, unless it's a really difficult subject.

I think I'm just going to pass on those missions.

And what the hell is up with the 5th rank? I spend like 5 minutes running down a corridor only to not have a boss fight?

I thought that was great I was expecting a badass fucking fight right there, and then nothing.

EDIT: The 3rd and 2nd ranked fights are some of my favorites in the entire game. I won't spoil them, but trust me; they're awesome

Went and had some drinks with my old English teacher last night for his birthday. Played snooker with him and I sucked miserably at it. Didn't get smashed but I had enough to make me rather happy.
