There are no basements in California.

We don't have a basement. We've got two bedrooms, a master bedroom, 2 bathrooms, 1 walk-in closet, an entranceway, and a den/living room with bar. Er, and a kitchen. And this little room outside of the house that is attached to a deck.

right after mom died, he made a big deal of telling will and me (separately) that the house was going to be ours after he died. bullshit.

What the fuck? He would make his own kids by a house that rightfully belongs to them?

it doesn't rightfully belong to us.

but a month or so ago, he mentioned that he'd never sell our house for under $350000.
he went outside. when he came back in, he said (for the 389th time) he was wanting to sell in about 2 years. once again, i told him will and i wanted to buy it. he said "give me $350,000 and it's yours." ..


not even a damn family discount.

I'm sure your mom would have wanted you and Will to have it. And from what you've told me, she seemed more like the provider than he did.

tommy has made it painfully clear that it matters not what we want or mom would have wanted, but only what he wants.

eh, after her dad died, i'd say it was pretty even between them. prior to '99, he was the provider. money is the only thing he's ever been good for.
