I'm just getting over a cold. It sucks being sick for your very first week of work on a new job you don't like.

Musician's Friend is fast as hell with their shipping. I put in the order on Wednesday... and it's out for delivery today.

I bought a harmonica from them one time and got it the next day. The shipping was free too. I did it through Amazon.

It's 4:30... looks like they may not be coming in today.

I like my job but I got sick within my first week of returning for some reason.

They came in today... just a lot later than would be expected. I'm starting to understand the hatred for solid state amps now. Big fan of the Holy Grail pedal. Not sure about the Big Muff because it's sounding similar to the gain on my amp...

By tuning my guitar way the hell down and a little tweaking of those pedals, I was able to get that Sunn sound... Only that's really not an ideal way to play for two reasons. The first being that while I got the tone, I didn't have the clarity they have. The second being that I'm using the cheap strings that came with my guitar... I need some different strings to play that low.

i'm in a very christmas mood!

cooked and cleaned. very domestic day.

I... played my guitar and bass for a wee bit. Now I'm going to make some tea.

Then I'll probably play a game or something while listening to the Dresden Dolls.

Not even 30 minutes later and I'm extremely pissed. I took three spoons of cough syrup because that's what I used to do in high school to get to sleep. Then I noticed we actually had sleeping pills, so I took two of those, too. Hopefully I pass out pretty soon.

And I had a nice sleep... Still feeling a bit woozy today. Listened to some Black Sabbath, worked on some music... eh.

Today is meant to reach the 40 degrees mark. So far its incredibly overcast so I'm hoping the sun doesn't break through.

So... I was asked to be a session bass player on the next Cuntworm cd.

So... I found out I'll be playing something that's already been written, they just need someone to play it. A little sad that I don't get to come up with my own part, but hey... I can't complain.

That's pretty cool. I remember a while back when you were first talking about them. I can't say I liked them really, but they sounded like they did what they wanted to and did it pretty well.

Yeah, I think they've got a nice thing going on. A lot of people I've let hear them don't really like it... eh. I think it's great and it's going to be cool being a part of it.

Did they tell you anything about the permanence of playing for them, or just that it was for the next album and that was it? I'm assuming at least some of the members are involved in other projects, so that could lead to even more stuff, too.
