I'm back in school for my last semester of undergrad. MS just had SNOW which is kind of a miracle. That's about it.

| Moving again in a couple of days. Having to figure out how to get extensions on both my unemployment and student loan deferments. Looking for more hours at work as well as still looking for another, or possibly a second, job. Taking pics of things I'm gonna sell on Craigslist, then going over to my mom's to help her take pictures for things to sell, and then organizing everything else for a garage sale.
The usual. | |

| Drums and guitar. Maybe my desk as well since momz said I could have hers and it might actually be smaller than the one I have now, which may be necessary since the room I'll be moving into, even if it is the master bedroom, will be considerably smaller than the room I'm in now. I also have an old weight set and bench, and an old dresser back at da momz that I'd probably just try to sell at the garage sale and pocket whatever those sell for, if anything. Otherwise I might ask my mom for some dough from the garage sale if it is a success since I'm sure I'll be doing all the work. | |

| Other than Drums and Git-ar I don't see the other stuff going for much. How much money do you need? | |

| That's why the guitar and drums are the only things I'm bothering to post on Craigslist. I figure if I'm not greedy, but also don't give in to low ballers, I could get a combined $350 for the drums and guitar. Everything else basically just needs to go so whatever I can get at the garage sale is fine.
I need as much as I can get, obviously. I've done some figuring and come up with the basic conclusions: as it stands right now, if my unemployment is not extended, and neither is my loan deferment, and my average workload per week stays the same, I can last 3-4 months. If only one of either unemployment or loan deferments are extended, and work stays the same again, I can go 5-6 months. If both unemployment and loan deferments are extended and work stays the same, I can go 9-10 months. If I get one of the jobs I've been applying to and it is at least 40 hours per week and $13/hour or more, I should be fine in just about any event.

| (Can't remember if I've already said this, either here or on IGN, so I may be repeating myself) That state interview I had (for CDCR in Corrections) went really well. Like, REALLY well. They liked me and I liked them. They laughed at what I had to say and smiled and nodded and wrote lots of notes and made positive comments about my answers to their questions. When the interview was over they were all smiles and said how great it was to meet me and said that they thought I would love working there. They then also offered to introduce me to a bunch of people in the office and give me a tour of the warehouse. I basically took that as, "This is where you WILL be working and who WITH" lol. They told me to expect to hear from them within a week. 12 days went by and I got a letter in the mail explaining that there was a hiring freeze and the position was no longer available. It didn't seem like your typical "Thanks, but no thanks. You're not hired" letter, actually much more personal and apologetic. It did say that my application would remain on file for if and when the freeze were ever lifted, though. But there's obviously no way to really know when that will happen, or if you'll be remembered when it does.
There's assorted other things I've been looking into and applying for, and I'm starting to now think about just getting another part-time job. The thing about that, is that it will likely also be low paying, and not only that, but it would eat up my unemployment benefits to the point that I could essentially be giving up more of my time for free, or possibly even be earning less money despite working more. The only way that would be worth it would be if it were something that could lead to an eventually more gainful employment, like if I were to somehow be a busser at a restaurant where I could one day finally get behind the bar. But that's a longshot that does little if anything for me in the immediate. So it's still mainly just looking for full time work, and then if need be, keeping valet on the side for extra cash.

| You just need to hit the jackpot in Valet tips and you'll be in business. I had a job interview last Friday. They called me Wednesday and were like hey remember us, I didn't, so I went in didn't even know what I had applied to, but I guess it was just some temp agency. Seemed OK but I didn't get anything out of it. Now as for my old job at Callaway I as called several weeks ago, they said they wanted me back. So I called them and it turned out they didn't really have a position for me, some lady was filling in and just called about jobs in general. So they didn't want me. Now today I'm getting a call that they want me back at my old position. Make up your minds. I guess I should take it because I'm not getting any other offers. | |

| Well, there's this regular account I work at, I think I've described it before. About half the guys there are regulars that get 30-40 hours per week, or sometimes more if they're a manager. I've been a regular for them now for a little over a month, but not the kind of regular to get the most work. It seems like I'm just one of the go-to guys for big events or holes in the schedule when the other guys' availability gets messed up or people call in, etc.. But word on the street over there is that the graveyard shift supervisor is not a good worker who shows up late all the time, and the account manager wants to get him out of there. He can't do it though, because he doesn't have anybody who would be willing to take over graveyard full time. I'm plenty fucking willing though, lol. So the next time I have a shift with the manager I'll mention to him that I have no problem working graveyard by myself, and that I may even need to do it if he really wants to get rid of the guy he has now.
That's wacky stuff about the temp/Callaway thing. And when you say "other offers," do you mean offered jobs you applied/interviewed for, or just straight up getting job offers out of the blue? Cuz if it's the latter, I've never had that. Would be nice lol. Seems like something a little too professional for my assorted mid-level skills of un-skilled jobs lol.

| Yeah throw that other guy under the bus, sounds good if you can get that full time job. In fact you should probably just call him up not even wait for the shift. Well by other offers I meant I'm applying for stuff and not getting any jobs. I had a couple of interviews though. One at this marketing firm. It was for entry level marketing I think I told you about that one. Also Taylormade actually reached out to me (so there's an offer) I had an interview nothing happened. Then later they said they want me to come back for an interview that might suit me better, but they didn't call me for an interview even after I called them. | |
