I got banned on IGN like 4 days ago

And now I finally get my email from them telling me what for and when I'm unbanned. And it says...

I don't know what the hell to think. Does this mean that it's taking them 4 or 5 days to figure how long to ban me for? Or did they just see that I was banned and now they can't figure out why the hell I'm banned?

I know exactly what thread they're talking about. It was on the Star Wars board and was removed DAYS before I got banned. There was a troll that came on to the board with some stupid argument. I asked if he was mentally retarded and pointed out how flawed what he said was. At one point, I said he was an ignorant piece of shit.

Yeah, I broke TOS. But I wasn't trolling.

And my unban request I just sent in.

I've already been banned for over a week and every time I send in a request it's "We don't know" or "Try again in a few days." It's been over a week. People talk about how the IGN mods are lacking and this kind of thing only proves it. It's good to know you guys have to deliberate over a ban for weeks before you can tell someone how long the ban should have been for. It's also pretty cool that the thread I was banned for was removed a day or two before I was actually banned. You guys are on top of things.

- Yes, it's an issue. If you're going to ban something for something you do it immediately. You don't sit and think about it for a day or two and say "Well, maybe I should have banned." Poor modding. Typical of IGN.

Also funny that I wasn't really trolling. I made a few comments. The troller was the guy that made the thread. Yeah, I said a few profane things... but I wasn't the one trolling. Plus, if you're going to ban for swearing, do it across the board. Not for people you don't like. And don't say that's not an issue either. I've seen plenty of repeat offenders with posts edited and not getting a ban. It's the people that mods don't like that get banned. If you say that's not the case, you're a liar. Poor modding.
