Damn, that earthquake in Japan was pretty fucking huge (8.9).

I know three people that live in Japan, and one of them is in Tokyo (near the epicenter). They're all okay it seems, but it also triggered a tsunami that will probably add to the damage quite a bit.

I'm older than all of you. In about 3 months I'll be hitting 30.

In other news, I just found out that someone I knew in high school (we weren't friends or anything) was shot and killed last Friday. He was a lawyer, and from what I can gather he was meeting a woman to discuss her filing for divorce. It's a little fishy since they met in the evening instead of during the day at his lawyer office, but who knows. The husband just went up and shot him in the head and chest and then failed at trying to shoot himself in the head.
