...the racist bastard brings out a picture of Don King that he printed out whenever in his spare time, puts it on the overhead, and says "Hey, if you color this in a little more it'll look just like you!"

lol what a dick. And what does he care if you miss class? Profs that make a big deal of attendence are absolutely ridiculous. I'm paying for the class. If I want to miss it for whatever reason, I'm fucking going to. The consequences are my own to deal with.

BW3's beer selection is insulting. They consider Stella Artois to be a "classy" beer.

I've never understood complaining about really popular restaurants having shitty beer selection, or even restaurants in general. That's not the main purpose of a restaurant, it's not where they make their money. You may as well complain that most restaurants don't keep bottles of Grey Goose on hand.

I don't give a shit if random restaurants don't have good beer, but BW3's features a full bar and even advertises that they have, "Wings, Beer, Sports". If their slogan was, "Wings, Lagers, Sports", then you might have an argument in their case.

Yeah, but it's a massive chain right? A massive chain is going to try to appeal to as many people as they can. Considering most of the people that go there, from how you guys are describing this place, are not beer connossieurs, they're not going to bring in a bunch of weird stuff they're barely going to sell. Most bars in general don't do that, let alone chains. Usually if you want to go and get craft beer, you have to go to a place that specifically has it, not just any bar. It's just not worth it for the business to bring it in. When you're appealing to the mainstream, you can't just bring in a bunch of stuff that's never going to sell just because one in every 500 people want it. They're going to bring in what's popular because they know that's what moves.

It's the same thing with Boston Pizza here (I don't know if you guys have those in the states or not). They're a sports *bar* (as advertised, it's really more of a restaurant, which is the same impression I get from Buffalo Wild Wings). Is there a huge beer selection? No. If you want something dark, you're basically looking at Rickards or Guinness. Why is the selection not bigger? Because most people don't care that much, and for the 25 bottles of Yellow Snow IPA you're going to sell in one year, it's not even worth bringing it in.

I've never been to one. Don't have bar money lately. Eventually have to, its prollly a nice place. Sometimes, shit beer or ordinary beers is clutch.

Winking Lizard is a sports bar chain around here and they have literally hundreds of beers. That place is packed all the time with barely any big three orders. I perfectly understand the franchise's reasoning behind not stocking a higher variety of beer, but that doesn't mean it makes sense.

All of this restaurant talk is making me hungry. My grandpa is taking me to lunch tomorrow, but I don't know where we should go. Hmm......

It makes complete sense. Why stock a higher variety of beer and hope it sells when you can get away with the basics? Evidently they're not losing business over it, so why make matters more complicated? The clientele they're not going to retain because of not having a higher selection of beer isn't enough to hurt them financially. And those people that complain about not enough beer probably weren't going to like it there anyway.

Honestly, I don't understand what would compel anyone to assume that the big name bars have a large selection of liquor and then get disappointed when they find out the strangest thing they have is Alexander Keiths (or whatever the equivalent of that might be in the states). Or most bars for that matter. Aside from the few aberrations, like this WInking Lizard thing or the Fogg n' Suds here where massive beer selection is kind of the gimmick, if I want to go to a place to drink beer I'll go to a brewpub or a place that specializes. Or I'll just drink at home.

I enjoy B-dubs' wings. Though around here there aren't a whole lot of wing places so I can't really comment on how their wings stand up to other people's. The beer prices are ridiculous though for sure.
