it was -3 here this morning, btu we got like 8 cm of snow, which promptly melted later on today. This winter sucks.

What a entertaining 5am. These storms have been passing thru here since 10 last night. Finally the grand finale at 5am. Woke for a one at 3a too. It reached 63 (or 61 here according to the thermo) and the hurricane force rains and lightning ever 5 seconds (close or not). What a badass storm. It was the cold front too. The temp dipped to 58 after, and 44 by 8am and 36 by 11am. Fuckin Feb 28, storms more badass when the temps get to 65ish after dark.
What a night but I love storms and enjoyed this batch.
Lake levels high here at my folks and a part of the lake has the golf path under water. 31F now, no more wind.

Apparently 62mph winds reported in the county in the 5am hour this morning. Listening to the rain/shit hitting the window this morning, I believe it.

This week, all the days I work have been beautiful, and the days I've had off have been raining. I wanted to go disc golfin on Thursday and Sunday, both my days off, but rain on Thursday and forecasted rain tomorrow. I went ahead and picked up a shift tomorrow; figured that since it was gonna rain I wouldn't be doing anything else so I might as well make some money. Only thing is that doing valet in the rain sucks haha.

Was 61 (unexpectedly, the sun came out and overshot the predicted high of 52) on Saturday. Couple days in the 40s now and cloudy, 50s for a couple days this week and 60s the rest of the week. Yay. Spring may be halfway here.

Well, I was planning on starting to run/jog today since the weather has been alright. I had to stop walking like I was because the weather was consistently bad. What do I wake up to today? Rain.

So at least half of March has been really stormy 'round here. Even had a few days last week with winds in the 40 and 50 mphs, some gusts in other close areas up to 60 I heard. Lots of rain. Things are flooding like crazy how they were a few years ago. The area doesn't really get floods like this every year. Usually some things get a little flooded, but definitely not as bad or widespread as this. The last time it was this bad happened in 2006, where levees were breaking left and right and shit, and I think it's even worse this year. A couple nights ago they shut down Interstate-80 towards Reno at a pretty low elevation (I think even below 5,000 feet) for zero visibility. There were people literally stuck on the highway in their cars for something like 24 hours lol.

Been sunny but cold here. Like around the normal highs for late January..

After the last month or so of freezing 40 mph+ winds, constant rain and widespread floods, yesterday was clear as hell and 72 degrees and today was the same and even hit 80 lol.

Thundering and 64ish here. Kinda nice.
WAY too much rain though. A little wattery outside.

"Severe" weather here... We're under a tornado watch until 6 PM. The Weather Channel is on site on MSU's campus--they're in the parking lot for my department building. I'm not sure if that is comforting or concerning.


However, it is neat to turn on TWC and see my campus =)

I'm ready for spring to roll around any fucking time now. This 40 and under bullshit with frost on my car every morning is really fucking gay.

Yeah... that severe storm sucked. Mainly because of the internet/phone lines. Oh, there is slight rain? Guess you'll be out of a connection all day. Jesus.
