Possibly getting a new tattoo soon

I mean, the art I have for the half sleeve was done by my best friend and we collaborated on it. That's pretty special to me, even if it's not 'mine'.

something like that would be the best I could personally do, so I wouldn't hold reservation about doing it if I figured out something I liked and also loved the finished drawing. Never come close to happening yet, though of course I've never actively been in pursuit or given it much thought beyond the reasons that seem obvious to me for not doing it.

I have a general idea of what I want, but I do need someone to draw it. my friends just suggest taking it to a tattoo artist to draw, but I'm kind of of the opinion that someone i know should draw it. i wish I could draw, but I can't. SO I'll probably see if some of my more artistic friends can actually make it happen.

I'm just saying if you're going to get some artist to do your tattoo and don't feel good about just anyone doing the art, if it was someone famous you'd maybe feel better about it and your body could be worth money!

I know a tattoo artist, he does pretty good stuff. Maybe you could get him to do it. He's on my FB if you're interested.

I'd rather give a tattoo artist and idea of what I want and get him stoked on it and let him do his own thing instead of drawing out something myself and asking him to replicate it on my body.

This is essentially what I do. I tell the guy who does all the work on me what I want and he goes off and draws it up and then he gets me to check it out. I let the artist work with that stuff. He knows what will work well and wether or not it'll go well on the part of my body that I want it. When it comes to the colour I generally let him do whatever he wants.

I've been getting more and more interested in getting a tattoo, basically after too many hours of pointless [insert city]Ink–watching when nothing else is on.

I like the idea of a tattoo, but I just haven't found what I'm looking for yet. I know I wouldn't want a tattoo-tattoo (ie. anchor, tribal, koi, rose, playing cards or any other tattoo-trend).

I was thinking about something related to my interest in the concept of knowledge. Being a teacher it's pretty central to me personality, and I've always been interested in learning and knowing. Mainly because it's been my one actual skill apart from Tekken Tag. But representing a concept like that, while still being aesthetically pleasing, and not pretentious ("this shit right here represents the inner duality of blfasfdlfkja") is something I haven't been able to figure out yet.


Issue number two, I'm way too scrawny for a tattoo, need to build up some arms in order to tattoo them :p

My problem is the same as Shrike's. I want one, but I still haven't decided what I'm going to end up getting. In the end it'll be either something high up on my left arm, my pectorals or my shoulder blade, but still no design idea.

I used to want a bass clef on my shoulder blade, but since I don't really play the tuba consistently that would be sort of pointless. I need to pick that pup back up, perhaps a tattoo would help the focus.

I've drawn up some things that I wanted to get tattooed, but I'm broke and jobless so I don't see it happening soon.
