| I just beat Hagane... and holy shit. The game is relatively easy... until the fifth stage. What the fuck? The game is fairly forgiving but once you hit that stage it expects you to be absolutely perfect. And that final boss? Fuck up just a tiny bit on your platforming... you may as well just start over. I'd say it's definitely worth playing UNTIL the fifth stage. The rest of the game was amazing. That level was just bull shit. | |

| Earlier I beat Joe and Mac for SNES. And I just made Super Star Wars my bitch. Honestly... it wasn't that hard. The trench run was the hardest segment of the entire game. I was surprised that the game was so short as well. So now I wonder how close I've actually come to beating Empire and Return. | |

| When I first got back into SNES playing last year, I played SSW. Think I got to one of the levels inside the sand crawler. Way easier than SESB which I rented as a kid and never got past the 2nd level.
Finished off the Mega Man Zero Collection. On DS mode it's basically impossible to die, which let me zip through the games. They were alright, but added a bunch of unnecessary crap that really only detracts from the games. Mega Man X is about as complicated as the MM formula needs to be. Some day I may go back and actually tackle the games on their real difficulties.
Starting up Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon next. I'll probably get 5 missions in and have half my characters die and give up.

| Yeah... I've been playing Super Empire Strikes Back for a few days now. I couldn't beat it legit. So tonight I used save states and level codes... and I still can't beat it. This game is fucking hard. People say Ninja Gaiden is hard (including myself)... but Ninja Gaiden ain't got shit on Super Empire... | |

| Played through Super Bonk. Had to continue a few times on the last two levels until I got some boss patterns down
About halfway through Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon. It's actually pretty easy, possibly easier than Awakening, and that one didn't even have permanent character death

| Couldn't even beat the first level of Super Return of the Jedi. Maybe that one is even harder... Didn't put up much of an effort, though. | |

| I've been getting really into Path of Exile lately. The Beyond hardcore mode is a bit on the artificial difficulty side, but I'm not really complaining much about my deaths. Not sure why anyone bothers with D3 when this game exists AND is F2P.
Restarted Infinite Space on the DS and had some difficulty understanding most of the game mechanics on my return. It's kind of like a newgrounds indie rpg with a bit bigger of a budget. Not much explanation of game mechanics and from what I'm seeing the game mechanics aren't really that deep anyways. This game doesn't have much of a community so I've had a difficult time finding a well written walkthrough.
Finally beat SMT IV with the chaos ending. TBH it was pretty meh of an ending. Currently working on a second playthrough shooting for the neutral path which is supposed to have a longer ending section and a more satisfying ending. This is a really good game, but I definitely see why people say Nocturne is better. However..the MC death being game over, the fusing system, and the few save points in Nocturne really add some unneeded frustration that you won't find at all in SMT IV.

| Yeah, fuck Super Metroid Redesign. I'm literally like 20 minutes in and can't make progress. I have the wall jump boots but they wanted to make wall jumping so retardedly difficult that I can't get out of the god damn area. I use wall jumping to sequence break in SM so it's not like I'm just horrible at doing it. This is fucking broken. | |

| Beat my first game of Civilization 5 on Immortal difficulty. It's one below the hardest setting, but it might as well be considering the difficulty. | |

| Luckily Civ V is one of the easier games in the series. I think the middle difficulty in IV is probably like the hardest in V. | |

| Well, I would say that's somewhat true but a major exaggeration when comparing the final version of Civ IV to the initial release of Civ V. However, while Civ V streamlined a small number of the deeper complexities of Civ IV, there is no meaningful difference in overall complexity or difficulty when comparing the final versions of both games (fully patched, all expansions).
This win also includes the patch that they sent out two days ago, which actually made a change to hurt one of my recently found strategies, which apparently quite a few people had started to exploit, even though I never did.
