related rates are a pain int he ass, but not too hard if you can remember your formulas for shapes. Then all you do is just plug in your values and go

I hated precal so I decided not to take Calculus. I had no math my senior year.

Yeah. A clause is something that has a subject and verb. My point was that "I had a flashlight" is independent, and that tacking on a preposition didn't necessarily make it dependent.

I didn't even call you on the fact that there should have been a comma after though and that you need to use a semi-colon in the sentence you typed.

I think the 'though' in there makes it dependent regardless because 'though I had a flashlight' makes no sense standing on its own. or maybe it's one of those stupid grammar things where it's still an independent clause yet it doesn't make any sense standing as one.
