I don't usually dirnk alone in the sense that I'm at home alone drinking. I usually drink in a bar but for the most part I sit by myself.

i'm still too young to go to bars. i never got a fake id. lol.

i have a few friends who drink. most of them have like 1 daiquiri. i'll have 3, but still don't feel too much. a guy friend and i drink beer a lot. that's fun.

yeah I've been drinking a lot of beer lately, or was until like I said school started.

i'm about halfway through my semester. so i've mostly been drinking on weekends.

I drink every night after work lol

i really freaking need to get a job.

I would advise against it.

Speaking of work, I'm getting promoted at the end of november.

if i got a job i could move into my own apartment. but i just don't know......

yeah. I'm being bumped up to assistant manager, or lead hand, or whatever the hell you want to call it. I'll basically be doing the same job as I am now only I should be being bumped up to around $16-18/hr.

that's nice! what's minimum wage there??

in bc it's like 8 bucks I think, but not many places pay that. Usually you're started around 9

I want to get a job in a pub/bar so bad, but a laid back one that has mostly regulars and that sells curly fries and chicken wings and not much else. No bars around here are hiring fucking anybody, though. I especially want to be like, a bartender, and even if any places were hiring for that, they all want like 3+ years experience.

I've never been to a type of bar that you describe.

And the only bars where jobs are pretyt relaxed are either the ones making so much money on clientele that it doesn't matter how much their employees slack off/steal (and then it's onyl releaxed until you get slammed), or they make no money at all and nobody comes in so working there is lame.

So... why is that someone came to me complaining about their life. Talking about how they don't have a job, their husband lost their job, and the fact that they have a kid they need to take care of... and then they say I'm wasting their time and they aren't giving me a pity party... When I was just there. I wasn't complaining about a god damn thing.

maybe you should ignore those people. I know I do.

I guess I was more describing what some people might describe as a "dive bar." That's just the kind that I like to go to, and more of the patrons at those places are more casual and don't have high expectations or want you to rush everything, which would just be cool.

Not necessarily. I know people that work in places like that that still make $100+ per night in tips. It has to do with being low-staffed and getting a lot of hours as well as a large percentage of the patrons in there at any one time. And it's not like I only like places that are completely sleepy. A dive bar can still be a packed, happenin' place, which is of course another good thing for money too.

i just want a desk job.

but my hours are too weird to try to work a job around. i'd have to drop out of choir.
