I imagine I'll have the same experience first year of PhD program--but if the past week is any indicator, this will definitely be the hardest year of my life (just happens to pair up with some pretty shitty times, nonscholastically, too).

I feel a little better now that I have my thesis topic, but I want a nice family here to adopt me or something. Just someone to fucking care how my day went would be swell. However, I am very thankful for a couple friends in my cohort with whom I can commiserate.

I'm pretty much done already, but I still need to finish up applying these comments and submit the damn thing. I have a little less than a week to do that.

When i'm on the road around town, I won't just go to any bathroom. I try to head for the big box stores, typically clean and multiple stalls so I don't have anyone knockin at the door or waiting for me to get my shit done.
