Even so, a socialist government? Seriously? Count me out.
...Not that I have a choice. If Obama gets elected, it's not like I'm going to disappear to another country.
By the way, it's funny how a few months ago, Obama said "no one making under $250,000 a year will see a tax increase," when just recently he said "no one under $200,000," and recently Biden said "no one under $150,000." So which is it? Seems to me the number just keeps dropping considerably.
My biggest beef with socialism is that someone who works hard has no reason to even work hard, because some lazy piece of shit will get the same amount of pay and benefits in the end, so why bother. This only decreases productivity and ingenuity. It allows no room for somebody to flourish by working hard ahead of the rest and thus being rewarded for it. Instead everyone's equal, which is bullshit because not everybody thinks, works, or behaves equally.
And universal healthcare is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. You know what happens when all that money gets spread out because everybody has coverage and a lot of people go to hospitals for stupid, useless reasons? The amount gets stretched thin, so everybody has an equal amount of shitty coverage, so if you're ever in dire need of an expensive surgery, good luck gettin' it. Either wait until you can afford it, or die in the process.
