Any of you retro guys ever try fixing old controllers? One of my SNES controllers has a R button that doesn't work, and I cannot figure out why. Took the entire thing apart, cleaned it, reset the bumpers and pads, and everything looks fine. No response though.

I tried to fix an old shitty 3-button controller that came with my Genesis; its face buttons were not very responsive, and needed to be mashed down in order to function, which is a big no-no for any real-time game. I took apart the controller and cut pieces of a rubber band to place underneath the buttons, but it didn't help. I never was able to get the controller working better, so I bought another 3-button controller on ebay, which worked much better.

Watch Dogs got delayed until Spring 2014. I haven't really been following the game too much, but I wasn't expecting a delay to come so shortly before its original release. It reminds me of how Rayman Legends got delayed shortly before its originally scheduled Wii U release, though unlike that, this delay seems to be to fix up technical issues.

It most certainly is, especially the second game. I'm not talking "butt-tickling Victorian bullshit" steampunk here.

Had people over last night for SNES night. Think we spent about 4 hours playing NBA Jam and Super Bomberman 2

I finally made some significant progress in Phantasy Star again; having taken a long break due to real-life obligations. I got all the way to
Spoiler:
finding Hapsby the robot inside of a pile of junk, which means I can now have him pilot the Luveno spaceship for me
I'm pleased with the progress I made during this game session. I also found that the way I was mapping dungeons up until now was slightly incorrect; it turns out that doorways occupy their own square in the dungeon grid, whereas before I was simply marking them in between two other squares. I figured this out by comparing what I had made of the Abion Warehouse map with a map of the place I found online. Now I'll know for the future, so I don't get my dungeon layouts messed up ^_^

Started playing Arkham Origins. So far seems like it will be just as good as the other 2. Combat/controls are pretty much identical to Arkham City.

I made more progress in Phantasy Star. I didn't do much story-related, though I did find a Flute, and upgraded some of my party's equipment at some new towns I recently gained access to. I'm not sure exactly where to head next at this stage, so I'm just exploring, taking my time to figure out exactly what's happening in the new areas I've gained access to.

Finally beat Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor Overclocked.... and then remembered that this edition has an extra epilogue... so now I'm playing that
Game was awesome as shit, but really hard at times. Definitely getting Soul Hackers and SMT IV in the next year or so

I'm playing Arkham Origins now. I don't really like it as much as Asylum and City. It's still a pretty good game, though.
Just died numerous times to Bane.

Well, my biggest problems with Arkham Origins...
Spoiler:
They hype up the Black Mask before release so I expect that to be the focus. Then it seems like very early into the game BAM... nope. It's the Joker. Again. I don't really know much about Black Mask but I think it would be a nice change of pace.
Which reminds me... I was hoping to see that awesome trailer we got for the game to be somewhere in the actual game... but you fight Deathstroke in an entirely different area mostly unrelated to Black Mask.
Also thought the cops would have more of a part in the gameplay... not just more thugs for Batman to fight. Figured you could potentially get arrested or chased or something.

Agreed on your first point there. I just got to the part where that is revealed.

You bought it on Thursday, right? I figured you would have been ahead of me. I just beat the game. Not sure what my completion rate was.
I think it's pretty good, but my least favorite of the three games.

I had it preordered. I don't really game much anymore. The 5 hours or so I've put into it so far is the most gaming I've done in the past few months.

I haven't had time to hit the shops. Being on placement Monday-Friday and working on the weekends leaves me very little time. I am pretty keen to pick up a copy of Arkham Origins soon.
Started playing Alien Breed 2: Descent.

I really want an open world Batman game with actual citizens instead of just a "prison city" or something.

Finally COMPLETELY beat Devil Survivor.
SPOILER:
Took down the right hand of God in the final boss fight, then in the ending you take off to Hell to recruit more help so you can kill God himself. Sequel?
Next up is the first Phoenix Wright game
