What video games are you guys playing nowadays?

Started playing some Battlefield 4. So far seems pretty much the exact same as 3... Not really surprised at that.

Playing the Arkham City DLC because they gave it to everyone for free for some reason. I don't know if it's just me, but it seems a lot harder than the normal game.

If you have it on Steam, they made it free to everyone at the same time that they removed Games for Windows Live and SecuROM from the game. They did something similar with Bioshock 2, where they gave Minerva's Den to everyone who owned it prior to GFWL being removed.

Yeah, I have it on Steam. Pretty cool of them. That means I got all of Arkham City for 5 bucks.

I actually never played the DLC for Arkham City. I forgot all about it.

Part of me wants to say the Bioshock 2 DLC was free on XBL too

Started playing Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII last night. It's kind of... shitty. Like one of the handheld Kingdom Hearts game, but even more repetitive, and with tons of the stupid androgynous generic assholes that Square seems to love anymore. Should of started Final Fantasy IV Complete instead ><

Well they must of had it on sale for cheap at one point, there's no way I would of paid $10 for it

Minerva's Den has been on sale on XBL in the past, though I don't recall for how much exactly.

Dark Souls on PC is 30 fps, right? I can definitely tell a difference between that and games that run at higher frame rates. Dark Souls honestly gives me a god damn headache to play.

I forgot about this thread. Anyways, been playing the first Amnesia game recently. Also am starting Dark Souls, but that's gonna take me a long time to get through. Once I'm done with Amnesia, I'm going to start playing the games from the WB humble bundle. Gaming on Steam has been my thing recently, due to the fact that I finally bought a wired 360 controller.

Beat Crisis Core, started up Final Fantasy IV Complete

I think its pretty telling that I'm enjoying IV 10x more than Crisis Core, partially because the classic combat system is leagues better than the crap Square comes up with nowadays.  Pretty easy to see how they've lost their way, I beat the final bosses of CC by literally just mashing X for 4 minutes

I miss the old FF games. I will have to bust them all out and play through them again some day.

Finally decided that I will go back and beat Magicka.

Started up a new game of Dark Souls, playing as a thief this time. Is much harder than caster or warrior.

Buy 2 get 1 at Target this week. Too bad it's not next week so I can grab Super Mario 3D World.

Thinking I'll pop into town and see what they've got. The selection on their website is no good and obviously I wanna get a full-priced game since the two I really want (Wonderful 101 and New Super Mario Bros. U) are near that, so I'm thinking either The Last of Us or Beyond: Two Souls.

Or save my money and wait for the prices on all those to go down because I probably won't play them for a long time anyway.

Finished GTAV story missions. Ending was utter shite. Both the final mission and the ending scene. The Big Score was a really solid heist, but the actual finale was anticlimactic. The writers had started uworking with some surprisingly interesting characters and relationships and that's how they wrap it up? Meh, wasted opportunity.

Something like The Last of Us will have some Game of the Year Edition-type thing come out early next year for $40. And then 3-6 months after that it will be $20
